The Chemalux 600M System uses spin-on technologies to apply AR Coatings to lenses. The system includes a lens surface preparation unit, the Corona treatment machine; a main eight arms spin coating system. The PLC (computer) controlled spin-coating module integrates automatic high-pressure water washing with Corona treatment and multi-layer spin-on AR coating. The eight arms configuration allows continuous production operation at a little more than a minute per side. The machine must be situated in an air-conditioned environment where temperature and humidity can be regulated.

The Chemalux 600M System creates AR coatings using proprietary Chemat sol-gel technology. After the Chemalux AR coating is spun on and the lens is inspected, the coating is thermally cured. Total coating and curing time is approximately one hour. The hybrid organic-inorganic-nanocomposite materials make Chemalux AR coating very durable. In addition, the AR coating is anti-static, scratch resistant and flexible, thus, eliminating crazing during processing.
